Bridal Registry! Ahhh:)

Well, I could not wait any longer the time has come! I have been looking forward to this day for literally, months years DECADES:) Sunday I woke up and decided that it would be a great day for Handsome and I to go
register
for
wedding gifts!
Our first stop was Dillards. I was soo excited! I could not wait to get my hands on one of those guns so that I could roam the store and scan that thing on everything in sight! But by the time the lady gave us the gun I had contained myself and we really didn't do that much damage, but that was just because it would probably be considered a Faux Pas if I took that thing up to the shoe department:) Trust me, I thought about though!

Anyways...Our next stop was Crate & Barrel. First I will say that If they would let me take permanent residence in that store, I would be as happy as a clam! I LOVE this store! We picked out our glasses, appliances, baking needs, storage baskets, margarita and wine glasses, and lots of kitchen gadgets! As soon as fall rolls around I will probably go back and add kitchen linens to that list. I cant wait until I see one of those classic black and white boxes on my door step!
I think Handsome and I will register at one more place so that we can pick out some towels and bed linens. This seems hard to pick out when we don't know what our bedroom will look like or even where we are going to live.
All in all it was a great day and it makes this whole wedding thing feel real!

Kelly and Joe's Wedding

It seems like just yesterday Kelly was calling to say that she and Joseph were engaged and now they are MARRIED!:) Come to think about it, it seems like just yesterday we were floating down the Guadalupe River having a blast and just beginning our great friendship! I know that weekend not only holds a lot of memories for everyone but especially for Kelly and Joe as that was the weekend they "rekindled" their love!!:) That was almost FOUR years ago!
Anyways the wedding was gorgeous and I had a blast celebrating with the cute couple!
Congratulations Kelly and Joseph! I love you both!!!

5K

So I have decided that I am going to start "training" to be able to run/jog for a 5K. That is 3 miles if you didn't know:)! Here in Fort Worth every Thursday nights this summer they have a 5k and I have decided that I am going to be able to do the whole thing without walking! To some people this may seem like nothing but trust me, this is a HUGE thing for me. I have never been able to run for more than 5-10 consecutive minutes. Before yesterday I cannot remember the last time that I was able to at least run a mile!

So a few days ago I headed to Lukes Locker to get some new shoes. I have been told that my old tennis shoes are horrible to run in which may be why I could never run more than 5 minutes at a time:) I also walk on the insides of me feet or over pronate as they told me at Lukes so I got some shoes that have a support on the insides of my feet so that they cant roll over therefor making it easier to run!

Well yesterday my sister, Caitlin and I decided to give my new shoes a try and we went on a two mile walk/run. I think they actually helped a lot! After about a half mile my shin splints were gone and I was actually running! Now if it wasnt for my lungs gasping for air or my side searing with sharp pains I probably could have run the entire time! haha:) But the good news is that I probably ran at least a mile! I think that is pretty good for my first day! The only bad thing is, is that since I am not used to having any support on the insides of my feet I now have a lovely little blister! I think it just may take my feet a little while to get used to it!

Anyways, I convinced my sister Sarah that she should train for the 5K and run it with us! So we have picked July 23 for our race:) I will let you know how the "training" is going!
