Well today is my sweet nephew Tyler's, 5th Birthday! I cannot believe he is already five!! Time really does fly by!
April 30, 2004 a day that should have been about celebrating our families newest arrival, they told our family that not only would my sister was not going to make it and that it was highly unlikely that Tyler would either.
Tyler's birthday is extra special to our family because the day he was born he and my sister almost died! My sister had developed Pre-Eclampsia and her blood pressure got so high that she went into a seizure. When my dad and sister found her she was unconscious and unresponsive. When she got to the hospital they had to deliver Tyler by C-Section 4 weeks premature. He only weighed about three pounds. The doctors thought when they got Tyler out that my sister Meghan would wake up but she didn't. They soon found out that she had blood on her brain and was in a coma. They told us that she was not going to make it through the night and IF she did she only had about a 10% chance of living because of all the trauma to her body. They also told us that Tyler did not have a good chance of surviving either. They were not sure how long his little brain had been without oxygen.
Well today on April 30, 2009 we are not only celebrating the fact that Tyler is turning FIVE years old we are celebrating the fact that God not only performed a miracle and saved little Ty-Ty but He also saved his Momma!
